We aim to provide a supportive community for ambitious, career mums chasing that elusive concept we like to call work-life balance!
Our mission is to inspire and support working mums to have both a fulfilling career and a rich family life. We can be happy mothers and enjoy a successful career at the same time!
We welcome all working mums, mums-to-be and mums on maternity leave to join us in our Facebook Group and at our monthly catch-ups in Perth.
Meet our career mums
Lucy is a lawyer and business administrator at Perth-based law firm Birman & Ride.
As a new mum, Lucy longed for a working-mum role model who could show her that it was possible to be a happy, loving mother and have a successful career at the same time. With no footsteps to follow, Lucy was left to figure it out for herself. This turned out to be a blessing in disguise as she learnt to build her life the way she wanted it to look, without feeling constrained by what life ‘should’ look like.
Lucy is now passionate about helping other working mums to take charge of their motherhood journey and manage their career and personal life in such a way that enables them to live the life they want to live.
‘A career and motherhood are not mutually exclusive. We can have both and we can excel at both, too. I do believe we can ‘have it all’, we just need to work out what that ‘all’ is for us.’
Terri has recently returned to her full-time job after spending two years as a stay-at-home mum with her two children. She also runs Perth small business directory, Malpas & Watson.
Terri has first-hand experience with the difficulties that mums face when trying to re-enter the workforce after taking time off to raise their children. From learning how to stand out among hundreds of job applicants to dealing with the rollercoaster of emotions that came with leaving her children after years at home, Terri has experienced the ups-and-downs of life as a career mum.
Terri’s personal journey has sparked her passion for helping mums create the future they desire for their families, in particular, supporting them with their own small business ventures.
‘I understand the ups and downs mothers go through and I want to help you break through the walls that are standing in your way and become empowered to reach your potential.’
